“Give thanks to him and praise his name”-Psalms 100:4b
All of us have been invited to an event, a party, and get together, but have you ever been invited to worship God? This school year I am inviting all of your children and you, yes, you as parents and a community to worship God. This theme for the 22-23 school year will be intertwined with our chapel messages, community service, and daily discussions as we worship our Lord and Savior for all he has done, is currently doing and will do in our lives. By definition, worship is to honor God, whether with our talents in academics, athletics, music or community service or in daily classroom activities or praising Him in chapel, we as a place want your children to know they have been blessed and how to bless others, they are HONORING/WORSHIPING GOD!
“Good God, Almighty” by Crowder will be the theme song and goes along with our verse as we will praise His holy name. In fact, in the song itself, it invites us to, “Praise Him in the morning, Praise Him in the noon time, and Praise Him when the sun goes down.” I have learned over the past two years that life is too short and through all the challenges, and there have been plenty, we need to glorify God.
As I am writing this, I reflect on what God has blessed me with in my life. I thank God for my personal relationship with Him. I thank him for my beautiful wife and children. I thank him for his blessing at our school and church and the wonderful individuals I get to serve alongside in ministry. What are you thankful for?
Please join us this year as we honor our God for all he has done at CLS and in our personal lives. GREAT GOD? Most definitely, ALMIGHTY, WE THANK AND PRAISE YOU!
